TIPS

1.) COTTON MUST BE WASHED FIRST

When using cotton as your chosen fabric, make sure you wash the fabric BEFORE cutting and sewing it into your clothing item. This is because if you don't wash it first, your made item will shrink if you wash it for the first time after you have sewn your clothing item.

2.) RIGHT SIDE, WRONG SIDE

Always make sure before you cut and sew, that you are sure which side of your fabric is the right side and which is the wrong side.

3.) VILENE PAPER

This is a really nice paper to retrace your patterns onto, or even when you make up your own patterns. It is much nicer to work with than with the thin tissue paper, It won't rip easily, It wont get lost as easily, Whilst tracing your design onto this paper you can trace out your size without having to cut the original pattern (this means you still have all the sizes left incase you want to make this clothing item for a friend etc.)

4.) SOAP INSTED OF CHALK

It is important to have some sort of a marker to mark your fabric when needed. Pencil will not show on black fabrics and chalk can become very messy... This is why Soap is the perfect thing for you! Weird but Wonderful! All you need to do is find an old bar of soap that you probably wont use anymore and leave it for a day or 2 to dry out in the sun. Then Voila! Your own marker for dark fabric!

Hope these little tips help you guys!
