Tip: Eyeshadow that goes with your Eye Colour

Many people find it challenging to find an eyeshadow colour that suites their eyes or that can really make their eye colour pop. There are many ways people say you can find this out but I find the best way is to do it scientifically with a colour wheel.

Basically, to work out your best suited shadow, you just need to find your eye colour on the colour chart and look at its complementary colour (the colour that is opposite your eye colour on the wheel.)
eg.) Opposite green on the chart is Magenta so that is the colour that will make green eyes stand out.

Here is a more basic chart to show you how complementary colours work.
And if you really are stuck and you don't know what colour to use...go for purple!
Purple and violet shades work well with every eye colour :)

Also it is advised that you stay away from eyeshadow colours that are the same as your eyes, as this will prevent your eyes from standing out and getting that dramatic colour pop.
(if you have light green eyes stay away from light green shades but you still can use darker green shades..)

Makeup: Bridal Look

I haven't posted much on what I have been up to with my makeup course yet, so I thought I could show you all some of the looks that I have learnt to do so far :)

For today- this is the Bridal Makeup look:

The key to this look is to make it not too dramatic (more on the natural side) and make it appear Classic. A well covered up face with light smokey eyes, blush on the apples of your cheeks and natural lips (tip: try to stay away from red lipstick) is key to this look.

Also add some false lashes for some extra lash beauty :)

I hope you enjoyed this bridal make-up look!

Outfit of the Day

So for this look I went for a winter/summer look as the weather was sunny outdoors but the wind was super chilly!

Clothing

Black long-sleeve crop top
Tartan Skirt
Black Stockings

Accessories

Cross Necklace
Leather Back Bag

Shoes

Black Lace-ups

Wearing Tartan looks great on wintery cold days as one associates it with the colder climates of Scotland where the fabric pattern originates from. You can still wear a skirt in colder weather by just pairing it with stockings (colour of your choice to match your outfit). I have also opted for a crop top but with longer sleeves. Basically you can still wear things you would wear in hot weather but change it up a bit to keep you warm (like I have done with the stockings, 'long-sleeved' crop top and closed boots.) P.s I didn't have my bag on in any of the pictures as I forgot, but I used it later on in the day :)

I hope you all enjoyed todays look.
Remember don't be afraid to change things up a little! :-)
